On Monday evening at 2220hrs Hawthorne was dispatched for a public assist call at 131 Elwood Ave. Units operating 2191, TL12

A h/o called the firehouse with a request to help remove a cat from a tree(approx. 30 ft up). Initial dispatch was for a public assist. Once TL12 was on location crews set the TL up and started to rescue the cat. Just as the bucket was getting close, the cat jumped from teh tree and then ran off behind the house.

All units were placed back in service once the cat left.
