REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete a Membership Application and Standard Background Check
  • 18 Years or Older for Unlimited Service
  • 16-18 Years Old w/parent permission for Fire Squad
  • 14-16 Years Old w/parent permission for Venturing Program
  • Both Male and Females are Welcome
  • Reside within the Hawthorne Fire District or Surrounding Communities for 1 year or Work 40 hours/week within the Fire District
  • Pass a Medical Exam Provided by our department physician
  • Complete the Firefighter 1 Training Course provided at the Fire Training Center, Valhalla, NY
  • Maintain a good standing in department point system for firematic functions
